The friends of Ibi Village : solidarity with the Ibi villagers

The asbl, Les Amis d’Ibi Village (AIV - Friends of Ibi Village) was created in January 2011. The AIV is closely related to the NGO « Groupement d’Intérêt Agronomique (GI Agro).

This Congolese NGO that was funded in 2005, is active in several areas : agronomy, economy, transformation and commercialisation, research and social, educational and cultural actions for the local population.

This Congolese NGO that was funded in 2005, is active in several areas : agronomy, economy, transformation and commercialisation, research and social, educational and cultural actions for the local population. The projects that are financed by the AIV are realised and followed in the field by GI Agro.

Your financial support is crucial for the realisation of our projects. The impact of your donations is huge thanks to the multiplication mechanism where :

1 euro = 5 euro 

It works as follows: GI Agro has a partnership with the SLCD (Service Laîque du Coopération et Développement) who introduces projects at the Cooperation on Development. If a project is accepted, the project owner needs to cofinance 20%. For the period 2011-20124 the project "Improvement of the revenue of the local population" is approved for 400.000€. The AIV helps GI Agro to raise this 20%, so up to 80.000€, each euro is  transformed into 5€.
