Trees at the centre of sustainable social-economic development

The uniqueness about Ibi Village’s agro-forestry concept is that trees are not only planted for the positive impact they have on the environment, but also because they play an important role in social and economic development for the benefit of the local population.

Trees are central to all our activities:

  • Environment: through reforestation and sustainable soil management, we are fighting against climate change and deforestation
  • Economy: By combining agriculture with planting trees, we improve the total yield. The trees make the soil more fertile resulting in a richer harvest and the maintenance of the crops results in better growth of the trees;
  • Social: through job creation, combined with education and health care, we improve the well-being of the local population.

This systemic vision made Ibi Village one of the pioneers of the new sustainable economies worldwide.
